Urban Grid is seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have 7+ years of broad civil engineering, land development, and site-related construction knowledge. Design and construction experience in Utility Scale PV Solar Plants is preferred but not required. The successful candidate will have expertise in highly technical in stormwater management approaches and methodologies, will understand land survey requirements, and have an advanced mastery of AutoCAD Civil 3D for earthworks analysis.
Urban Grid is seeking a Project Planner to play a crucial at Urban Grid by managing the planning & scheduling aspects of utility scale solar projects. This role works with project managers, site managers, project developers, EPC contractors and key vendors to develop, monitor and manage project schedules. We are currently seeking a Risk & Compliance Analyst Intern to assist with the day-to-day activities and tasks related to Corporate and Project Insurance matters, Enterprise Risk Management Framework, Implementation of the Environmental, Sustainability and Governance (ESG) program and other Corporate Compliance tasks. The Sr. Economic Development Manager is a seasoned leader with experience in local community engagement activities relating to renewable energy. Reporting to the VP, Economic & Community Development, this individual will work to ensure that local government officials, key influencers and stakeholders are well informed of the economic benefits a utility-scale solar facility will bring to a rural community. The position supports numerous teams throughout the organization including land, project development and permitting. As part of the community engagement team, the Sr. Economic Development Manager will work to shepherd our projects through a successful permitting process.
The Director, Development will be responsible for leading the development efforts of utility-scale solar projects, with a primary focus on leveraging commercial acumen and building strong relationships with local government authorities to navigate permitting processes effectively. Urban Grid is seeking an experienced Substation Engineering Project Manager candidate who will be responsible for guiding projects successfully through the interconnection process and executing various aspects of preconstruction and construction, including the Collector substation and the ISO's HV switchyard.
The Tax Manager will be and integral part of the Accounting department and will lead US tax compliance, accounting, financial reporting and US tax planning for Urban Grid. Urban Grid is actively seeking an experienced HSSE Director responsible for ensuring the safe and sustainable operation of utility-scale solar development projects in the construction phase and subsequent long-term ownership and operation. This position will be crucial in ensuring the successful completion of the project by being proactive in risk identification and mitigation, engaging with the project contracted EPC HSSE leads and EPC company HSSE organization, and providing timely response and remediation of incidents across each project. This role will also involve developing, implementing, and maintaining HSSE policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a culture of safety, security, and environmental stewardship internal to Urban Grid and coordinating with external parties to ensure the best HSSE practices and Parent Company standards are being met.

The successful candidate will have industry experience, a background providing commercial, or origination support associated with utility or corporate transactions for solar or renewable energy projects. The candidate will be a self-managed team-player with excellent communication & writing skills, attention to detail and has the ability to effectively manage or support a wide range of task that an Independent Power Producer (IPP) is involved with. The candidate will support Urban Grid’s Commercial Origination activities and may change over time as the company expands. This role will require coordination with internal/external resources and clients, supporting various task required to develop a proposal, obtain internal governance and approvals required to advance the transaction forward.
