Fairview Solar is a planned 75 MWac renewable energy project in Ashley County, Arkansas. Situated in a remote location on an existing commercial timber operation parcel, Fairview Solar is exploring the opportunity to include agricultural components like sheep grazing and pollinator habitats on the project that will maintain the rural character of Ashley County.

Benefits
What does this project mean for you and your community?
LOCAL ECONOMIC IMPACT
Over its lifetime, Fairview will pay approximately $8.7 million in tax revenue to Ashley County. This is revenue from a project that does not require costly infrastructure or public services. Prior to construction, we are committed to hiring locally, when possible, and giving local businesses the opportunity to bid on subcontracts.
AMERICAN MADE ENERGY
Home-grown energy is vital to bolstering Ashley County's grid resilience and ensuring America doesn't have to rely on other nations for this critical resource. Fairview will connect to Entergy's existing 115kV overhead transmission line and a new substation will be built on site. After the solar facility is decommissioned, the substation will remain intact and available for future community interconnections.
LAND RESTORATION AND PROTECTION
Urban Grid and Fairview Solar are committed to being good neighbors and responsible stewards of the land. An extensive plan is in place to mitigate potential erosion and stormwater runoff as a result of the project. Sheep grazing and pollinator habitat options are being explored to manage the vegetation on site and replenish nutrients in the soil.
