Environmental Impact
- Aspen Road Solar will be introducing agrivoltaics on the project site, the practice of co-locating energy production and agriculture. Sheep grazing and honey production is anticipated once the site is operational.
- Pollinator-friendly habitats will be incorporated to sustains honeybees and other pollinator species.
- Native grass species will be planted to prevent soil erosion and support sheep grazing for the production of meat and wool.
- Use is long-term, but temporary, and land can be reclaimed for farming, timberland, etc.
- Annually powers 18,000 homes while offsetting more than 90,000 metric tons of CO2.*
